The Beginning
Hello and welcome whoever you might be!
First of all, if you’re reading this, you’re probably one of the first people on this site. I hope this site will be of any use to you at any point in time. If you’re interested in learning about who I am, please refer to -> About Me.
If you’re here, you’re probably at least half interested in what this whole website is about and to be totally honest with you… well… I don’t know myself. But worry not! - I know what things I’m going to post here (Give or take).
So what can you see or expect here?:
- High likelyhood of my personal yapping.
- Various tutorials, most often but not necessary limited to C#.
- Any of my software that I will wish to share, will be downloadable here. (Paid | Free)
- Updates on the progress of some of my projects, if I decide that they should be visible to the public.
- Friends or special people will find game resources to join my game servers. (Maybe one day not only friends, who knows).
So as you can probably see, my website will probably be a golden bin of content, and as of now I am really sadisfied with it and the reason for it is simple - I am quite new to the whole web development thing. I am a long vetaran of C# development, I know a bit about C development, and oh boy even some Python or Java got in there. So I know quite a bit about systems programming, but when it comes to web development. I always hated it. I never could get into it, and I was generally put of by it. But today it changes!
This whole thing started when my company was getting rid of old electronics. My boss asked me if I’d want some old PC and hell yeah I agreed. (Spoiler alert. That PC is not even used). The PC I received was definitely fitting the term ‘old’. I probably almost died too, as there was definitely electricity going through the case… Yeah not fun. Ultimately I decided to repurpose my old PC. It was much less old. It had DDR4 instead of the DDR3 I got from my company, and I had an amazing idea - Build a home server.
I bought some cheap SSD and RAM from CEX. Got a GTX 750 Ti for £15 and I was rocking. I’ve setup my own home server, and tried to do everything perfectly (as I usually do, too perfectly). Taken care of security to the best of my ability, as well and making everything tidy. Now the server runs, serving me quite well. I though to myself, it’s great that I can host games, keep my code in self hosted version control server, but what does every server need? A website! (Well, at least I want a website).
So here it is, glorious, most amazing, most beautiful - A golden bin site. I want this website to slowly evolve overtime, hopefully ‘The Way Back Machine’ will capture the amazing growth and I will be able to come back to it in 30 years time and say - ‘Damn, beautiful old times’.
Let’s uncover together what this entire project might achieve one day.
